Hi Julie and family,

Your old pen pal from the past here, Sara Boddie. I still remember getting those letters from you all those years ago, Julie!!

I was so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I kept tabs from afar through my mom and grandma, Donna Halvorson. He was such a good and kind man. I have so many good memories of he and your mom and all the fun out at Ely Lake. I caught my first sunfish at their house right on the dock, and their sauna was the first one I was...

Gina, Bruce and Families: Our deepest sympathy to all of you in the loss of your father (grandfather)! Our prayers are with you.

Plese accept my condolences for Jim's family. We were very close to Jim during my time at the VFW, he was somewhat of a mentor to us. He will surely be remembered in my thoughts and prayers. Jim was a true patriot in his mind, heart and soul, and he exhibited that in word, thought and deed. A finer man I have never met. God Bless Jim and rest in peace.

Dear Julie and the Beste family,
We want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. May you find comfort in the love and support of those around you. Take care and know that you have our deepest sympathy! If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask. We are here for you not only today, but in the difficult days ahead!

We really did enjoy being with Jim, he was a real talker and could always keep things lively, his stories were special and always remembered to most of us... His school stories and cabin stories... Just a really neat person going to miss him....

Gina & Family,

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

We where deeply saddened to hear of first Jim's illness and now his passing.
We became good friends of Audrey and Jim while wintering at Island House in Corpus Christi. We spent many days over the years visiting, fishing, dinners and game playing.
Fortunately we are blessed with many happy memories of our friendship.
Sorry we cannot make it to the funeral tomorrow.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you
