My deepest condolences to the whole clan. Jim was the kind of larger than life character you never forgot. He will be missed.

I did not know Jim Bookey but I just happened to see his obituary as I was searching for members of his family on the internet. I met Pat and Peggy at their turning/ piercing class at Bismarck, North Dakota. My sincere condolences are being sent to you and all your family. He must have lived a very interesting life by the write up. I hope your loss is softened by many good memories! ........... from Marlene Roles

My prayers go out to the family having grown up with them and eating many a time at Bookey's while growing up Jim will be missed by many for years to come.

Ivremember Mr. Bookey since Inwas a chikd. I grew up in Kenai and woukd ride my bicycle to Bookeys to pickup some hamburgers and fries. I woukd race home so the bag wouldnt break open from the grease. When I grew up and moved to Anchorage, it was always a treat to eat at Weebies, and spend a few minutes talking to Mr. Bookey, we would talk of Kenai, and how he wanted a safe place for kids ti go and eat, and be able to spend time having fun. He was a great man, in every sense of the word. ...

Had the pleasure of meeting Mr Bookey & eating his famous burger & home cut fries. Condolences to all the Bookey children and their families-especially Kelly & Laurie and their children and families.
With thoughts and prayers for all
