BURLEIGH, James Preston Sr., 81, of Chesterfield, formerly of Concord, Va., passed away October 28, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Lorraine Paulette Burleigh; and a grandson, Travis Pond. He is survived by a daughter, Marsha and her husband, Gary Pond; two sons, Preston and his wife, Julie, and Julian and his wife, Renee' Burleigh; seven grandchildren, Aimie, Erin, Abby, Jessica, Lucas, Bradley and Alex; two great- grandsons, Anthony and Preston; three brothers and one sister. Mr. Burleigh was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Masons and former owner and founder of Burleigh Auto Parts. His remains rest at Bliley's- Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday. Interment to follow in Dale Memorial Park.
