I believe there is a saying along the lines of "what matters most is how you leave people feeling after they have been in contact with you". With my Uncle Jim I always left him feeling like I mattered. Like I was important, unique, interesting and worthy of being listened to just because I was me. His smile alone could warm your heart. He was quick to laugh and found the humour in life. Thanks for your positive impact on me as a small child and as an adult and thank you for being my uncle in this life.

It's with sadness that we say goodbye to my wonderful Uncle. Uncle Jim's curiosity for life and for others, and the kindness he showed everyone he met, made the world a better place because of him in it. I remember on my wedding day, he made a point of telling me how my deceased dad would have thought I looked so beautiful. So kind, so thoughtful. We also enjoyed his visit to our home in Toronto, complete with his own sleeping board for his back. His warm smile and the twinkle in his eyes will be missed. So sorry for your loss of this lovely man, Uncle Jim. Love Cristine and Rob
