Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathy to Mary Alice, Patty and the rest of Red's family. Red was an excellent public servant and an even better friend and neighbor. The old Garland-Vinewood neighborhood has lost one of its best.

Patty and Family-We just wanted to say how sorry we were to read of your dad's passing. I remember him being such a kind man, even to the extended neighborhood kids who were not Garland/Vinewood residents. I hope all your fond memories bring you comfort.

Mary Alice, Patty & Betty - My heart knows that you are grieving today. But I also know that Red brought joy to many lives that he touched. I will never forget his kindness some 30 years ago when my dog Cotton died and he built a little wooden box to lay her to rest in. It was the little things that mattered to him. My prayers are with you.

Mary Alice, Judith joins me in extending our deepest sympathy to you and your family. I was very fond of Red. As you recall, we served together on the City Council. What will the city be like without Percy Dovetonsils? I still have the huge mallet he made when I was elected Mayor. We had a lots of fun and his sense of humor will never be forgotten. My regret is that I will not be able to attend the service. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family.

Dear Mary Alice

One of the great occurances of my retirement was my chance to get to become a friend of Red's. We shared many ideas, and we had a common bond in most of our beliefs. We also shared many jokes which often came from the little notebook which he carried in his pocket. We have all lost a wonderful man, and I am so thankful that I was able to become his friend.

Condolences on your loss Wayne and Patty.
