Not sure what to say?

I just heard the sad news today. Barbara, Steve and Paul, I'm so sorry for your loss. I'll always remember "Dad" fondly. He was the best announcer for the marching band that Edina ever had!

He was the best co father in law that we could have ever hoped to have. When you saw him you knew a hug and a big smile was in the coming. Unforgetable!

What a gift Jim was to the world and especially to his wonderful family. His very presence lit up the room. From his constant presence in the front pew at St. Stephen's to the sound of him calling "Lover" he is truly unforgettable. My condolences to Barbara, Steve, Paul, and their extended families.

Dear Barbara and Family...My brother-in-law just sent me the news about Jim's death, rather passage into life with Jesus. How sad you must be and so very proud of him! I think Jim probably never knew a stranger...he was as someone suggested, a legend. How will we go on without his amazing presence? Barbara, I will hold you in my prayers...I only know a little bit about how you will miss him. Please remember that there is a wonderful grief group in Edina...saved my life after Paul died. ...

I remember Jim Curry and “buttons.” The story: When asked how he liked the dress a woman was wearing, he apparently did not, but replied he liked “the buttons.”

Through the years, I have taken to heart the lesson of this simple story: an object lesson of thoughtfulness, optimism and humor – Jim Curry qualities.

Jim was thoughtful and thought-filled. He had opinions and loved to express them, but never at the expense of his audience. His gregarious nature demanded...

Jim was a wonderful man. We enjoyed his sense of humor and story telling. We admired his ever lasting love for Barbara and we are forever better people for knowing him. Barbara, Steve and family, and Paul and Shelley our thoughts and prayers are with you.

If it's possible to capture the essence of our dear friend jim Curry in one paragraph (It is not!)you did so in his obituary. We'll just say that he was the most unforgettable character we've ever met. To know him was to love him as we do Barbara, Steve, Paul and all his wonderful extended family.

God bless!

Steve, Paul & Shelley,

Sorry to hear about your father's passing...may you remember all the best lessons taught by him...there is a star in the sky tonight shining down as he continues to guide you.
