MERIDEN - James F. Donnan, 53, of Meriden, loving husband of Debra J. Donnan, passed away on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in New Haven, July 14, 1961, a son of Carolyn Maturo, of North Haven, and the recently departed Louis Maturo. He had been employed by Jet Lanes, where he met the love of his life, later at Circuit Wise, then Sikorsky Aircraft, until his retirement due to illness. He spent many years coaching his children in the Meriden Soccer League and Ed Walsh Baseball, in which he was actively involved. He was a friend to many and had an astounding personality and sarcastic wit that could brighten up anyone's day. He will be missed.

In addition to his wife of 30 years, he is survived by his beloved children, Jaymes, Krysta, and Tyler; his sister, Lisa Donnan; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Linda Remillard; Gail and Al Beliveau; and JoAnn and Tom Anderson; as well as several cherished nephews; and a niece.

His family would like to thank Dr. Gary Tansino and staff, and his home care nurse, Sarah, for the exceptional care that they provided.

Jim's family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford, on Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 9 a.m. from The Wallingford Funeral Home, when the funeral cortege will proceed to Holy Angels Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.

Gifts in his memory may be sent to his Relay for Life Team, House of Hope, c/o Laurie Buick, 214 Carriage Drive East, Meriden, CT 06450.

So sorry for your loss. Growing up we all played, fished, and hung out together almost every day at one house or another, and later I worked with Jimmy at Circuit Wise. He was always a great friend and will be missed by everyone that knew him.
