Not sure what to say?

I am an Emison cousin from PA who met Jim at a reunion in Indianapolis. I am sorry I didn't get acquainted sooner. My grandmother was Elizabeth Emison Harris.

Jane and family, please accept my heartfelt and sincere condolence on your loss.

I had the privilege to intern at Western Petroleum in 1983 when I was a DePauw junior and Management Fellow. Growing up under very poor living conditions in a small rural farming community in Indiana, I had very little exposure to life outside my immediate community. However, I knew there was more for me than my current living condition would otherwise suggest. Jim provided me one of my first...

Just a brief note to Jane and Family: I never actually met Mr. Emison, but I sit here at my computer stunned at the great loss I feel. I benefitted from Mr. Emison's generosity and determination to make DePauw University a great institution. I was a Management Fellow and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Over the years, I have often read of the ways that Mr. Emison was working on DPU and MF--he must have been a remarkable husband and father as well. Know that your love for him will...

I've just heard the sad news, and would like to send my sympathies to Mr. Emison's family. I had the great pleasure of meeting Jim when he came to stay at my college in Oxford, Christ Church, over several summers. He really lit up the place with his great good humour, friendliness, and warmth to everyone, from the porters, to students like me, to senior members. He brought such vitality and enthusiasm to the college, we were very much hoping for another visit - our deep sympathies to his...

On behalf of the Washburn Youth Amateur Hockey Association in south Minneapolis, I wish to convey that the thoughts and prayers of our families go out to the Emison family. Our association is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization that provides a developmental youth hockey experience to the kids of south Minneapolis. Washburn's relationship with the 5-8 Club and Mr. Emison has provided us with revenue to offer this sport to our kids at an affordable price for many, many years. The...

After being shocked by Jim's death but so impressed by his funeral service this week I can't move on without expressing in writing my admiration, respect and gratitude for knowing a unique and great man. I had the pleasure of also knowing Jim's father who also was a fine gentleman and person. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree! I had many dealings with Jim, was in the same office buildings with him for years and always enjoyed our visits and benefited from his advice. There are many...

I am deeply saddened to learn of Jim's passing. He was a great man who influenced countless lives through his leadership, positive attitude and great generosity. I first met Mr. Emison as an 18 year old DePauw student. I too am a Phi Psi and had the privilege of hearing Jim speak on several occasions to our brotherhood. Over the past several years, I had the great pleasure of getting to know Jim on a deeper level through personal visits and phone conversations. The Indiana Alpha Chapter...

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. You and your family are in my prayers.
