Mae, I was very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I remember him as being a kind simple, very nice man. My thoughts and prayers are with you and family! He left the best for you, an abundance of treasured memories!

Mae, I really wish I could attend Jim's funeral as I have always thought the world of you and Jim! Know that my thoughts are with you in this trying time.

He was a wonderful human being;-a gentle man with a fine sense of humor and a great love for and pride in his Family. We will miss him.

The big buck that I got at the land

Well friend we missed you at the deer camp this year, i was telling the guys we have missed your presence this year.I am blessed to have known you too for 25 years. This was to be our 25th anniversery as i was sitting in that old tree again, i was saying a prayer and was thinking of you my friend, this veterans day has always been close to my heart as my own father passed on the same day, 25years ago which led me to know you and Mae.i made you a promise to keep those trails...

Jean and Mae, Tim and I were so very sorry to see Jim's obituary in the StarTrib today. What a sweet, kind man he always seemed to be - and always so thoughtful towards Mae! Jean, I've learned more about your dad from the occasional stories you have told about him on Facebook. I loved it when you told us that on a really hot day, he'd take the family for a ride that always ended at a Dairy Queen! What a great dad! Please accept our heartfelt sympathy.

A great man and a great-uncle who was part of the greatest generation our nation has ever known. You were something special to so many.

Jean and Family, im so sorry for loss. I know he is in a better place with no pain. He will be watching over you. I have been there as well. This friday it will be three years since my dad left this world to the better life. Hugs to you and your family.
