Not sure what to say?

I was thinking of Dr. Bob Johnson recently and did a google search, only to find this obituary - which saddens much greatly. I left active duty service with the US Navy in 1999 and was hired by Raytheon, being assigned under Dr. Johnson who served as a Chief Scientist. I served as a Senior Engineer and Analyst under Dr. Johnson for 2 years, working on DoD proposals and high technology research efforts - which took me to various DoD facilities and Raytheon facilities around the US, including...

Dear Sam and Shirley -- Your Christmas card arrived today with tragic notice that your Bob was taken Home 10 months ago. How very, very sorry we are!

Today we asked the Lord to squeeze your hands tighter . . . to give longevity to your pride in Bob's life, Christian walk and science career . . . and that his extraordinary legacy will help sustain your memories of all the good times you had together.

Sam and Shirley,

You continue to be at the top of my list of people to pray for - and now even more so. We are hurting with you and all of your family. We know the Lord is being with each of you.

My deepest sympathy to Congressman Sam Johnson and Shirley and your family as you struggle through the grief and sadness. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dearest Shirley and Sam, I am so saddened to hear of Bob's passing. I was thinking of him just two weeks ago and wondering what was happening in his life. I was remembering a science class when he seemed especially quiet during your time in the POW camp. He served our country well as your entire family has done. My condolences to his entire family. Especially his wife.
