James “BOSS” Lacy 47, departed this life on October 26, 2021 at his residence. He was born February 23, 1975 in Chicago, IL the son of Dorothy Lacy and Bennie Lacy Sr.


Mr. James Lacy was a cook at Wendy’s for many years.


Mr. Lacy had completed many Certifications. He also was his family “Hype Man” he brought fun, laughter and love where his presence was always known.


He was preceded in death by; father; Bennie Lacy Sr., sisters; Bennetta, Bernice and Bernia, grandmother; Rosetta Lacy, aunt; Darline Lacy-Fields and Debra Lacy Idela, Lunabell Stephens, grandfather; Mack Lacy, and uncle; Pete Stephens.


He leaves to cherish memories; sons; James Lacy Jr. and Lamar Lacy both of Springfield,IL, daughters; Jamiesha Lacy of Springfield,IL, mother; Dorothy Lacy of Cedar Rapid, IA, brothers; Jessie Lacy, Bennie (Tashea) Lacy Jr., and Wade(Hazel)Lacy all of Springfield, IL, sisters; Sadie Stephens of Springfield, IL and Patricia Lacy, additional loved ones, three Amigo’s Millie and Cheryl. To all his family you know who you are. “Get Your Weight Up” Boss Dog. And several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
