Not sure what to say?

love you grandpa... and i miss you

What can I possibly say about a man who I once called Dad. Prim, Sharon, Jimmy,Barry and family. I was so fortunate to be apart of a truly remarkable family. Jim was a man with so much patience. He taught me how to drive a stick shift. I have so many fond memories of him, and always will. I am also very happy that I was able to say my goodbyes. He will always be missed by me and Brooke. I love you all and you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

he was the best grandpa ever!!!!

I was very sorry to hear of Mr. Matthews passing. I haven't seen him since I graduated from WHS in 1960. I went to college and law school as well as many teaching situations. I have often told my family that he was one of 2 or 3 teachers who was great. I wish we had more like him. You respected him and he was intense and to get a student like me to work and like it was an achievementin itself. My sincere condolences to all.

Matthews Family. I would like to express my sincere condolences on the passing of Jim. I knew Jim as a friend of my parents, teacher/coach, and colleague. Jim was always a mentor to me over these phases of my life.

My mother passed on the 20th of June and I was thinking of all the influences in my life. Jim's name always was one of my greatest influences. He was a great man and will be missed by his family and people he touched.

My parents were Clare (Bumps) and Judy...

My sincere condolences to the family on the passing of Mr. Matthews. He was a great teacher and advisor. Truly one of a kind.

Dear Prim and family: Many years have passed since Camptown and Wilson High, but I never forgot Jim Matthew's American History Class. He was a wonderful educator and a kind and patient man. I am glad to know that he was so loved by his family, all of whom I remember fondly. My sincere condolences on your loss.
