I just heard today Jim passed away, I am so shocked to hear this, I am the widow of David McCullough, the former Fire Chief of DESC. David has been gone for 3 years. Jim never failed to call David on his birthday, every single year to wish him a Happy Birthday and he continued to call me after David passed, I really appreciated that. Jim was a good man and I will miss those phone calls very much.

Jimmy Moore my Fire Chief my friend always thoughtful kind and forgiving now in the arms of god

Yante, Mychal & Barbara, Please know that you and the rest of the family are in my prayers. I will miss talking to my 'Big Cuz' on the phone.... loved him dearly. I pray that the Lord gives us all that 'peace that passes all understanding' to comfort us during this difficult time. So thankful for the good times that we shared. Love you guys dearly.

'Doc' We had a great run in Life for ourselves. joining the Navy together. working together in the Fire Dept. All the laughs and memories of our high school days. I'll miss you, RIP

To the Moore Family,
May God bless you and be with you during this difficult time. I worked with both James and Vita at DESC for many years. They will be truly missed. I pray for comfort and strength for your family today and in the days ahead.

Our hearts like yours are filled with sorrow in “Doc aka Moore's” passing. May God bless you in this difficult time and we will cherish the fun memories of him as we reminisced about the good ole days. Moore will truly be missed by John as a navy buddy and true friend. Rest in peace 'Moore' we love you!

My prayers go out to the Moore family. James was one of the reasons I went in the Navy too. He was always a good spirited as I remember him. It seems that we all grew up with great childhood (Roth Falcons) memories. Barbra a special prayer goes to you to comfort you in time of saddness. God is ready for James' work in Heaven. James I'll see you there when he's ready for me.
