Not sure what to say?

Your father, grandfather and great grandfather was a man of faith, a lot of fun, and the consummate Irishman, as well as a fine judge. He rests now in peace with his Lord and Savior. God’s peace to all of you.

Dear Family of Jim and Marilyn,

Jim and Marilyn were favorites among those regulars who attended our annual Kentucky Derby parties that my wife, Linda, and I held for years. Our children, Missy and Matt, also held "Judge Murphy" and his buddy "Judge Schneiderman" in high regard as they poured their drinks and enjoyed their quick wit. May you also treasure wonderful memories that I am sure you all share.

Tried many cases in his court in the municipal and Common pleas courts. Always a gentleman and made many times a tough job easier. One of the last of the remaining trial lawyers who served the people after a successful career in the law business. Not many left, and he certainly made his mark. My wife and I feel Summit County is a better place for having him as long as we did. Rest In Peace. Harry And Kathy Tipping

somehow my message disappeared. Murphy was an icon in this town, practically everyone knew him or knew of him!!! maybe his life and memories be a blessing to you, Mary, and Sarge, and family. thinking of you

Judge was a wonderful person and loyal friend. Even when he changed my name he was fair and approachable. He had one over arching requirement that he had printed conveniently for everyone to read: Be reasonable, do it my way." And I did it his way. Great man - I'll never forget him. "Dammit Dave" Watson

Murph was always a crackup and as ornery as they came. He brought many smiles to all of us and will be missed tremendously. Light, love, thoughts, and prayers to everyone in the family.
