Dear Dorothy, I'm so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I think of you often when I'm in South Arlington. I always enjoyed my visits with both of you & your sweet kitty, to work on your window blinds. Take care & praying for you in the new year. Sincere condolences,
Kim McNelis,

Anyone who worked around Jim Nelson came away better from that experience. Stack up all the positive adjectives in front of his name, and you wouldn't begin to do him justice. He had such a creative mind, a great sense of humor, and an unparalleled work ethic. In a world that doesn't always reward kindness, Jim was a genuinely nice man. I feel fortunate indeed to have been part of the projects at Alice Carlson. Everyone who worked with Jim will remember him fondly.

My sincere condolences to you, Mrs. Nelson and your family. Jim was a wonderful man and I enjoyed his friendship and working with him at Alice Carlson.

At Alice Carlson, Jim was my partner in crime. Together we built a lot of wonderful things for the children. Jim was always my go-to guy. He could fix anything, and he helped us design and build a lot of projects over the years. He was one of the people I truly missed after I left Texas. Such a kind, brilliant, and quietly funny man is surely to be missed by many. My heartfelt sympathy to Dorothy and his beloved family.
