Lt. Col. James H. Sams - SAVANNAH - Lt. Col. James Hagood Sammy Sams, U. S. Air Force (Ret.), 89, died Sunday at Savannah Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and under the care of Odyssey Hospice. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Gamble Funeral Service.

Lt Col Sams (Sammy) was a dear friend of my Grandmother in Savannah. The few times I got to meet him and spend time with him, I knew I had been in the company of a special person and gentleman. God Bless.
