Sorry to hear about James he was a wonderful person and a great teammate of mine on that state championship team in 1957.
Condolences to the family

I still remember going to Austin to see the Thomas Jefferson Yellow Jackets (Port Arthur) win the state championship in basketball. James was one of the starting five.

A great guy who will be sorely missed. The thing I remember most about the state championship team is that they were really and truly a team. Every player put the team ahead of himself. Knowing that and knowing James, I am sure that in his years as a coach he helped put many young people on the right path to a good life.

We are so very sorry that James is no longer walking with us but so happy that he is now with Jesus. He was such a special and loving man and will be missed by many.
