Not sure what to say?

Jim and I were fellow Texans ... Jim from Houston and I from Big D ... That rivalry, however, brought us closer together! and we shared many jokes due to the rivalry of the 2 towns. We first met at The Sound Lab and later as colleagues at Eastern. I found Jim to be both warm and humorous... eager to share his love for CS with my interest in the Maths, which again brought us closer together. I will always remember Jim.

A good friend!

Jim was one of the friendliest, kindest people I have ever met. RIP, Jim.

Dr. James (Jim) Shores was an adjunct faculty member in Computer Science at Eastern, and taught full time for several years until his retirement in 2004. Jim was instrumental in building our Computer Science department and had a positive impact on many students. The Computer Science department at Eastern extends our condolences to Jim´s friends and family.

I met Jim when I joined Eastern Connecticut State University as a new faculty member in the fall of 2001. As an excellent teacher, and mentor he has made a significant contribution to the sciences in the state of Connecticut. Thanks for the fine work.

With sympathy on your loss. May he RIP. Florida Mary (Marto)

We English teachers who had the privilege of working beside Carole for so many years ADORED Jim Shores. How he made her laugh! And the stories she shared made all of US laugh. I am deeply grateful for his warmth, his curiosity, his humor, and his embrace of all of us in Carole's orbit. He was such a gentleman.

Carole, our hearts go out to you and the family. Jim was such a sweet man, and fondly remembered. Our condolences,

We were Blessed to meet Jim and Carole at St. James where they welcomed us into Sunday Night Mass group. Visits after Mass included everything from serious discussions about the Sunday Readings to laughter at Jim´s witty, but always kind, observations. We are grateful for how welcoming they were and for the chance to know Jim. Carole, you have our thanks, Prayers, and deepest sympathy. marci & charlie
