I'm sure like many here, I'm certain Mr. Sirois and I shared something special. I've been out in the world some 30-plus years since Mr. Sirois introduced me to the piano. To this day, when I sit down to play, I think of him in some way. Nowadays, my children often sit next to me, drawn to the gift that Mr. Sirois gave me. When they do, it's Mr. Sirois's patience and love for music and teaching that fills the room. That's the lasting impact of an incredibly worthy life. I'm so grateful to have...

I count myself as so blessed to have been your student all those years, and the recipient of your wonderful hugs whenever we crossed paths in our neighborhood. Even a decade beyond my time at Franklin, you never forgot me and always ran over with a smile and a warm embrace, that marvelous twinkle in your eyes. You could make me laugh in a heartbeat. I miss knowing you were in the world with us, and my heart goes out to everyone who loves and misses you. Such a special soul, you are.

I was talking to you yesterday Uncle Jimmy´. Then today this popped up. You must have heard me. I love and miss you. You are my Sunshine

We still miss you, James. Always will. Keep shining your light down here. We need it. Your jokes still bring a smile to people's faces. That's legacy.

I still have some of the piano music Mr. Sirois selected with his handwriting on the side. I was teaching my 11-year old to play a song on the piano, and thought of what a gifted, patient, kind, and talented teacher Mr. Sirois was! Sending love to all his family. - Sarah (Katsaros) Dennis (FFAC '93)

Mr. Sirois,
You are the reason why we have a piano in the house. I have fostered a love of music in my own children and talk of you often. You encouraged your students and always had a kind mannerism. I can still hear your voice in my headphones pushing me to get "Greensleeves" perfect. May you rest in peace.

You were such a great teacher and awesome motivator. When they first implemented Fine Arts at Franklin I tried playing the piano and didn't get pass chopsticks lol. I realized my passion was dance and you encouraged me all the way. The Thomas girls loved you so we miss you. RIH! Carla D Thomas 1976-1980
