James N. White

Dear Family and Friends of Justice White,

I was very saddened to have learned about the passing of Judge White.

I fondly remember his kindness of writing such wonderful recommendations for my college applications. I also remember when he and Mrs. White visited Amy here in D.C. I enjoyed attending the White House tour with them. It was always such a pleasure to see him and his family.

I offer my condolences to his entire family, and also to the community...

My sincere condolences to the family of a wonderful man. I did some occasional typing for him when he came into the office of his brother Charles. I was Charles' secretary for 23 years. and saw Jim often. He will be sorely missed.

I played little league for Jim and "doc" back in 1954. At the end of the season they took us on a trip to Ebbetts Field to see a double header between the Dodgers and Phillies. To this day it remains special. It will be an experience I will never forget.
