It was an honor to care for Jim during our short time together. He will always hold a special place in my heart. Jim was a genuine and kind man full of personality and service for others. The world needs more Jim Yocums. But he can never be replaced. Sending Prayers of healing to Freddie and family during this difficult time. RIP Jim.

Jim Yocum was the BEST! Rest in peace dear friend! He loved his dear Freddi, and all his loving family. He was wonderful with computers and people and kids especially! We'll miss you old friend, but we know you're guarding Heaven's Gates now! We love you!

Freddi & family, I am so sorry for your loss. He was a good man and I'm lucky to have known him & your family. My prayers are with you.

Captain Yocum was a cop's cop. I was lucky enough to join APD just before he retired. He gave an impressive and memorable class in our academy, explaining why he did not wear white uniform shirts while on duty. He was one of us, a blue collar cop. He retired, way too early, before I had enough seniority to bid to his shift, but I was fortunate to work for him at the bank. A good man who will truly be missed. Prayers to his family.

My deepest condolences to Captain Yocum's family and friends, I worked with Captain Yocum on APD, rest in peace Cap.

I extend my deepest sympathy to the Family.
I have known Jim for the last 18 years,we met at the Barberton Roller skating Rink and Through the Masonic Lodge where I received my 50 year pin.
He is one of my Best friends.
RIP,MY FRIEND ♥

Yocum Family,

Cap was one of the Greatest. He was one of the Old Guard that made APD what it was. There wasn't one job he couldn't handle and he handled all of them with professionalism whether he lead a Top Notch training bureau or Shift Captain and any other job he was assigned. So sad to lose a leader and good Man like him. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Rest in Peace Brother.
