Not sure what to say?

Jan was a fabulous mentor and great supporter. I learned many life lessons from him and he was instrumental in my health care career, both clinically as Director of Respiratory Therapy at Presby under his medical directorship, but in my next 30 years as a Hospital CEO. I loved his style, and admired his wisdom......he was one of a kind for sure! Our prayers for his family and friends.....and my heartfelt thanks for sharing him with Deanne and I! Michael R Blackburn

Sorry to find out about Jan’s passing so late.
He was a very important and influential mentor in my healthcare career. He helped me form my working attitudes with physicians as a hospital CEO. I had the privilege of leading his pulmonary services at Presbyterian , and he taught me nearly every day how to succeed while working in corporate medicine. He was a very personal friend and he helped me in many ways, to include financially. He was brilliant and prophetic always interesting, if...

I was doing research for a book on outstanding athletes and contacted Jan by e-mail for about a 6 month period in 2019. He was always prompt in returning my e-mails and gave the most detailed answers to my most important questions. It isn't easy to recall every specific detail of things 50-65 years old, but he did so very well. He impressed me as an intelligent man who after all was a well liked and respected pulmonary doctor. I feel very fortunate that I was probably one of the most...

I have good memories of Jan from High School. I knew he was destined for great things. He was a great athlete, and I understand a wonderful physician. I'm so glad I got to see him at our last reunion. Condolences to his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Jan's passing. I knew him well and he was one of the most intelligent people I have had the pleasure of knowing.

A giant in local medicine. Helped a generation of younger physicians through his mentorship.
