Jane Wells Norton

1927 - 2017

NORTON Jane Wells Norton passed away December 16th after a long illness. Jane was born April 12, 1927 in Mayport Florida the daughter of Cecil and Willa May Wells. Jane was a long time employee of the Sea Turtle Inn, Atlantic beach and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Jane was preceded in death by her husband Hardy Norton and two grandsons Terry Norton, Jr. and John Friend, Jr. Jane is survived by her children, Wilda Von Seggern (Cliff), Terry Norton (Kay), Lenna Friend, Charlotte Ross and Dorothy Norton, also Vicki Hatch her niece whom she thought of as one of her own; eight grandchildren, Dwayne, Dwight and Jane Von Seggern, Ron Paul Norton, Jennifer Landers, Vanessa Ross, Chrystal Shackelford, Cody Potts, and 17 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 2400 Mayport Road at 2:00 pm with Father Mark Waters officiating. Burial will follow in Mayport Cemetery with a reception in St. John's parish hall afterwards. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the Beaches Chapel by Hardage Giddens.
