I was a student at Abramson 1969-1971. Miss Cazabonne/Mrs. Richard was that type of teacher that you never forget. She both enjoyed teaching and took it seriously. If we weretaking too long to get ready for class, she could be heard everywhere! Her sense of humor was fabulous. I think of the values that she instilled in us as I teach future teachers.

The tennis team threw a small shower for her when she got married. We truly respected her and wanted her to know that we were happy for her for her upcoming marriage to Mr. Richard.

When I lived in the Metairie area, I would see her at various places and we would talk for a LONG TIME. It could be several years before I would see her again and the conversation appears to pick up where the last one left off.

Those of us who were lucky to have her a part of our lives, even for a fleeting moment, will miss her.

My condolenses to Stan Jr., Angele, and Valerie.

I was fortunate to have Ms. Cazebonne as a P.E. teacher at Abramson. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was great fun. I'm so happy that her life was full of wonderful people.

Hi family and friends of Mrs. Janet-- I too was so blessed to know her. I was her picture framer. I was lucky to have worked on the special shadow boxes and other pieces that Mrs. Janet had framed. It was such a pleasure to see (and hear) her coming! She was such a positive and motivational person. I was upset to hear of her passing. I realize what a special lady she was. I am so sorry for your loss and know that she is smiling that great smile of hers up in heaven.

Everyone needs to know a Janet Cazebonne Richard but of course that is impossible because she is "one of a kind". Janet was a special friend with a personality that made everyone love her. She was one of those people that made the world brighter by just being in it. Janet was my friend and I will always miss and love her.
Thanks for all the memories!

Janet loved nicknames...I was "Boo" she was "Caze" and at eight years of age...we became fast friends. Over the years we lived in different states, but we never lost touch in our sixty-one years of friendship. "Caze" was an exceptional person and a gift to anyone having the good fortune to know her... her spirit of life will live on forever.

I will never forget the night Janet gave me the nickname of "Rita." We were having a slumber party at their house and she came home on the happy side and said hi Marga'rita.' It stuck and to this day all my friends from high school still only call me Rita. She, Janet, was a great lady! She will be missed by all whose life she touched.

I taught school with Janet at Abramson High School in 1970. She was a fantastic teacher, co-worker, and friend. She always had novel ideas about teaching, such as "fruit basket turnover" which determined how we would divide our students into classes each semester. I am sure that she is up in heaven helping everyone and organizing a lot of fun activities. Janet and Stanley, we love you and you will always remain in our hearts. The two of you are two of the great ones. Janet and Stanley's children can always be proud of their parents.
