My favorite memory of Junebug was her reaction to her first step in snow.

It was 1976, and she was visiting us at Michigan State University after an overnight fresh snowfall. Her eyes were bigger than an owl's as she gingerly put her foot out over the inch of snow. It took her over a minute to put her foot down. Then she smiled, squealed, sang, and oohhed and aahhed for hours.

She was a grown woman with the heart and light of a little girl.

I knew Janice June as JJ. Whenever I was around JJ, she always made the room smile. She will be missed. Sorry for your loss.

My condolences. The obituary is very nice. Describing June as alive and excited is so true!

My sincere condolence goes to the entire family of Janice, nothing compares to the death of our loved ones, it is so sad but knowing that at a time like this that God will comfort and soothe our pain will bring us comfort . Psalm94:19
