Jason Robert Ference, 42, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. His death leaves a void in the hearts of his loved ones. Jason was born on February 17, 1981, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Jessie Mae Smith and Robert Lee Ference Jr.


 


Jason was a loved individual who touched the lives of many. He had a contagious smile and a kind heart that drew people to him. Jason had a passion for life and lived it to the fullest. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and his infectious laughter filled every room he entered.


 


Jason was a hard worker and dedicated employee. He spent many years in the manufacturing industry, where he touched the lives of countless colleagues. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and went above and beyond to ensure the satisfaction of those around him.


 


In his spare time, Jason enjoyed spending time with his family and listening to music.


 


Jason was preceded in death by parents, Jessie Mae Smith Ference and Robert Lee Ference Jr. He is survived by his children: Jameeshia Stilwell (Garrett), Janae Thomas, Jason Ference and JaNiya Ference; grandchildren Gionna Stilwell and Jayceon Stilwell; two brothers: Donell Ference and Jerry Ference; one sister, Gaynell Odom; four nieces: Ledonia Ference, Le’Quita Ference, Kimberly Odom and Shalay Kyles; nephews, Jacoby Ference, Rodney Stevenson, Brennon Ference, Kelvin Odom and Marshell Odom; his loving fiancé Netisha Gardner and many others that hold him dear to their hearts.


 


 Jason's Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 6:00 P. M., at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Malvern. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 P. M., at Brandon's Mortuary in Malvern. His earthly body will be laid to rest at Toone's Chapel Cemetery in Tulip, Arkansas, at 10:00 A. M., Saturday, May 13, 2023.

I’m thankful to have known you all my life. You were an amazing cousin who loved family. It was very evident with every interaction you had with me and anyone else you encountered. Gonna miss seeing that smile during the family reunion. Praying for your sweet family!
