Dear Family of wonderful Jean!

As a cousin by default through my marriage to Pat McGovern, I met Jean quite often startling with our marriage in 1982. I remember her boisterous laugh, great sense of humor, kindness, her wonderful hospitality she extended to my daughter Michelle and me when we werte on college tour; when she attended the marriage of my kids, always hugging, and smiling with that endless sense of possibilities. Although I do not remember ever meeting her in person, she was always kind and upbeat when she called to ask for her daughter Kathleen.

It is my job to answer and transfer phones at the University of Montevallo, Carmichael Library. Whenever she called for her daughter Kathleen, I remember always smiling at the love and heartfelt concern she obviously shared for her daughter. I have no doubt she will be missed.
