Jerry Lee Plymale Of Landville, WV Jerry L. Plymale, 64, of Landville, WV went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 26, 2010, from Charleston, with his family by his side. He was born January 17, 1946, at Landville, a son of the late James Ballard “Jay Plymale and Sybil Goodman Plymale. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Franklin, James and Jackson Plymale; and one sister, Barbara Plymale-Lively. Jerry was a member of the United States Air Force and a Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of the UMWA, retired from Arch Coal Company in 1999 after 28 years of service. He was a faithful member of Big Spring Missionary Baptist Church who loved the Lord and working in his church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and extended family. Jerry was also a friend and mentor to many young people in his community. He tried to help and encourage all of them to make the most out of their lives, regardless of their life situations. He believed in all of them. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 40 years, Brenda K. Morgan-Plymale; his daughters, Jennifer (Michael) Bassham of Midlothian, VA and Rebecca (Kevin) Thompson of Greenville, MI; his two granddaughters, Katie Beth Thompson and Lacie Brooke Bassham; his two grandsons, Brandon Michael Bassham and Noah Matthew Thompson; his sisters, Carol Murphy of Landville, Freda (Bob) Mollihan of Jackson, OH, and Angene Earnest of Whitman; his brothers, Roscoe (Nina) Plymale of Accoville and Roger Plymale of Jacksonville, FL; one special sister-in- law, Donna Plymale of Landville; one brother in law, Herbie Lively of Sidney, KY; along with all of his nieces, nephews, and other family members. A special thank you to his extended family, Ulbert and Helen Morgan of Man; his special brothers-in-law, Kenny Morgan, Doug Morgan and Ken Sias; and of course his “favorite sisters-in-law (they know who they are), along with his Morgan family nieces and nephews. The funeral service will commence at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at the Big Spring Missionary Baptist Church at Mallory with Reverend Bob Morris and Pastor John Cain officiating.
