Not sure what to say?

I met Jesse and Nemi when they moved to Ceres, Ca. from the Islands. He and I painted together at night. Sometimes he would draw his comics but painted when he had time. I live in Oklahoma and have been here since 1978. His passing gave me quite a shock. I learned a lot from him and have several of his first issue comics signed to me and my wife. In 2012 I was able to talk to him by telephone and we talked about the old times. Bye Jesse...

It was an honor and a pleasure to have known you and to have worked with you, my friend. You always had a great smile for everyone everyday. Godspeed, Jesse.

My friend, although we never met, your work spoke to me in many ways, I learned to read by your Gold Key adventures, and feel that you helped shape my life into what it is today. Although your body has left us, the memory of the happiness you brought to your family, and others will live with us always.Christoper Walker.

Here's a small sample of some of Mr. Santos' comic book work:

A great comics artist - a great artist, period! Enjoyed his work over the years...

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.

Dear Friend and fellow Artist. Your presence always brought joy and truth to all you friends and fans. Through your mirth and great wit and your fabulous artistry, you were a man apart from the ordinary. I and I am sure that your friends from the Opera world are at a great loss at the unfathomable parting of such a dear friend and colleague. You leave a great legacy of admiring friends. Lovingly, Carmen Tejada

Jesse - you will be missed. You were blessed with so many gift - your art, your music and your spirit. I will always hear your wonderful laughter and treasure your great sense of humor. Love and light. Holly
