Miss Jewel was one of the sweetest lil ladies I've ever met. She would bring brownies to us employees at the store. I enjoyed her stories and just being with her. She will certainly be missed. Miss Debbie you gave me encouraging words when I lost my mom. Also know she dancing in the halls of heaven.

Debbie, your mom was a very special lady. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your family.

Debbie and Lisa, my family sends deepest regards. Mrs. Jewel was such a sweet and kind person. Although I saw her rarely, I have wonderful memories of the friendship we shared. God bless you in your time of sorrow.

A very well-lived life. I saw Mrs. Scruggs rarely ... but when I did she ALWAYS made me feel important and special. An example for all of us. Allen Darden

My mom Sylvia Peak (deceased ) and I loved Jewel. Her smile was contagious; she had genuine interest in others. She will be missed.

Our family loved and treasured Jewel. She was truly committed to her daughters and their children. Her wit, kindness, and devotion to her loved ones was unparalleled. God speed, we will miss you.

I have to say her name fitted her personality. She was a jewel & I always loved walking the street & just stopping in to check on her & leaving an hour later. She loved visitors & always made you laugh. Never ever complained. She will truly be missed My thoughts & prayers are with the family. I know she is so excited to now join the love of her life Billy.
