Not sure what to say?

Message from Rickey Stamps: thanks Donna H. Thanks classmate for remembering me. I miss your infectious smile e-mail address: [email protected]

Mr. C touched and changed the lives of many with his caring smile. He had such a great personality. He taught me the true meaning of discipline and dedication. Giving your all in practice and competition , discarding all negative criticism. He taught the grenadier band how to be a family.. He will be missed. Mr Calabrese
I remember your kindness, words of encouragement, and laughing when trying to find a Grenadier Uniform to fit me. I remember you telling me that I was the only person you knew who could wear N Hines uniform.I was small but you made me feel like a giant.I will always feel blessed to have a person like you touch my life.Another Angel just got his wings.

First, my deepest and belated condolences to the Calabrese and Surface families. As a boy, I knew Jim as a "hip" and hilarious music student at Concord. He played for Mr. Bill Caruth in the Concord Commanders and could wail on a

were a handsome and devoted couple who never seemed to

You will be missed. Love always to the best Band Director Ever.R.I.P Mr. C

So many great memories as a band student at Union High School in 1973. Some years later, the UHS alumni band proudly marched down the streets of Union,WV, under Mr. Calabrese's direction in the "Farmer's Day" parade. What a great reunion and a special man. Mavis & family -please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Mr. Calabrese was a wonderful man. His enthusiasm for life was so evident in everything he did. To this day, I still talk about those wonderful memories of creating the West Iredell High School Band. They will always remain in my heart. Susan, truly I have thought of you and your dad over the years and I will be praying for you and your family in the months ahead. I remember you both with such great joy. It was, and is, a pleasure to have been called your friend.

How I always think of them. Truly a perfect match.

I wish I could be there, by your side as I grieve along with you. I am so sorry I'm not. It's hard to know what to say. My words seem so inadequate.
You have all been such an important part of my life for over 50 years. I love you like my own family. We have shared so many special times together. You are my favorite part of coming home. And even though things will be different because Mr. Calabrese is gone from our sight, he will forever live on in our memories and in our...
