To the family may the love and support of friends and family help you find strength to get you through today.please accept my most heartfelt condolences bon such a tough anniversary

Dr Day was a leader in his community and his profession of Optometry. His office built in the mid 70's was a model for graduating seniors at UAB School of Optometry. His legacy continues with his son and daughter in law. Prayers for his family. He was a wonderful man, well remembered. Bill Doolin, UABSO 1978

He had a precious life and career. May God continue to bless you for your work and services you continue to render.

Our condolences for your loss. Please keep in mind this comforting words found at 121st Psalm

We have been friends with Dr. Day, Sr. since 1960. He was always so sweet and patient and kind. We now live in South Alabama, but my dad still takes a trip to Gardendale anytime he needs new glasses. Dr. Howard is his eye doctor now. He says nobody does it better than Day Optometry. He also enjoyed playing golf a few times with Dr. Jim Day, Sr. We will miss him, and send our condolences to the entire family. Sorry we can't make it up for the funeral, but our prayers are with you all. The Sam...
