I fell in love with comics during Jim's Shooter's time at Marvel comics and appreciate all he did creatively. He made my growing up a little easier. Condolences to his friends and family.

Jim was a friend and a neighbor of ours. We always invited him to all our Christmas parties and BBQ´s. He was always the first to arrive and the first to leave and he always brought a lot of entertaining stories with him. We loved Jim, may he rest in peace.

I met Jim at several conventions and Free Comic Book Days. We had several conversations and I considered him a friend. I openly told him that I wanted to be him when I grew up. What I really wanted to do one day was work with him. Now I´ll never get the chance.
