Jimmy (Jim) McAfee went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2023. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. We will miss him dearly. The viewing will be held on April 24th from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home, 201 N. Hamilton St, Mobile, AL 36603. The funeral service will be held on April 25th at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2000 Martin Luther King Jr Ave, Mobile, AL 36617.

I never would have thought growing up your neighbor on North Leeds Avenue in Whistler, Alabama that I would have had the great pleasure of meeting and substitute teaching your daughter, Jada during some very difficult times in both our lives. Finding out that she was your daughter helped me to strive more to help her work through our difficulties to become the better people we have become as a result of our life's challenges.

Because you asked that I do all I could to help Jada...

My best friend we talked once every month.I tried to reach you but to no answer.We grew up together in El Vista I will always think about our adventures as kids .Rest peacefully my buddy.Maybe one day we will meet on the other side . Friends forever. Don R Collins Port Arthur Texas.
