We met Joann as a neighbor about 30 years ago, and We enjoyed many good times and conversations with her and Ed, sometimes in the street, or over a meal at their house or ours. We will miss her infectious laugh and keen sense of humor. Farewell Joann! Photo from Palm Canyon Oasis in 2016.

Working with Jo Ann in the early days of supporting State Service Commissions was such a great experience. She was calm under fire and used her leadership skills to do so much good for the field. Those of us that knew and worked with her to strengthen commissions to serve the AmeriCorps programs in each state knew she was a humble force of nature. So sad to hear of her passing!
