Read MoreMs. Tolman was my ELP English/History teacher at Northwest Junior High. I have actually been wanting to get in touch with her the past few years. I´m sad to find I am too late. She was a great teacher and had a positive influence on me. I will always remember her reading The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury to our class.

I was taught by Ms Tolman at West High for a few years. I remember her collection of autographs from writing letters to celebrities and how she allowed our classes to choose what books we read as a class in an effort to help us enjoy reading. She counted an RL Stine book on our reading logs along with the classics which was much appreciated. Ms Tolman was a great teacher and clearly paved her own way and own lesson plans. She was creative and kind. I´m glad to learn a little more about her...

Enjoyed the blessing of being a counselor at Brighton Girls Camp under Jo Ann's leadership. I'll always have fond memories of her sense of humor, love of nature and devotion to God.
