Joan was a no nonsense person whom I am happy to call my dear friend. She was proud of her Staten Island roots but enjoyed living in her hi rise home in Jersey City overlooking the Statue of Liberty. She often said she missed working in NYC because she was forever a New Yorker at heart. She was always current on everything happening in the world and never stopped searching for information on different subjects.. I will greatly miss our weekly, Saturday talks. Jeni B.
