Not sure what to say?

Joan lovingly cared for both of my children from the time they were 1 until they were 4. She treated my children with loving kindness & helped to raise them with a strong foundation. All of our relatives lived in Michigan when we lived in Florida, so we called her Grandma Joan & were grateful to share our lives. We have many fond memories of Joan, Walter, Melissa, Mariella, Steven, & Ellen. My husband reminded me that Steven used to love The Sound of Music & toy race cars. I...

My condolences to family and friends of Joan. She was like a grandmother to me and my brother when we were younger. I have many fond memories of her and her family. She will be missed.

"Grandma" Joan with Alex & Katie

To Maryellen and family, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time, hoping for good memories and peace to all

I was privileged to get to know Joan through church but even better while we worked together at the gym daycare for a year. Her love for the Lord was always evident and next to that her love for children. No matter how lively the child that came through the door Joan had a big smile and hug for them. So blessed to know her. So sorry for the loss her family is experiencing but knowing she is with the Lord makes you rejoice. I know she is sure smiling now.

It is so sad to hear that someone so caring and special has passed. Joan was such an important part in my early development. My family and I would refer to her as "Grandma Joan." Grandma Joan cared for me when my mother was working or in school. She had an enormous heart and her impact on me will be life long. I know she will be missed by many, and I know she will never be forgotten by those that knew her.

Your Mom was a beautiful woman and a great example to me as to what being a Mom meant. May God bless you and comfort you all.

Mom you were the bravest, kindest, and most selfless person in the world. You will be missed dearly everyday until we meet again. Love you.

I'm so sorry to hear of Joan's passing but I know she is safe in G-ds arms. She was full of grace and I learned a lot from her growing up. Love to the whole family.
