As a former employee who returned to my home in Charleston, SC I saw them when they hosted a JPC affair on Kiawah Island & their warmth was still there! Joan Johnson was a role model for young women growing up in Chicago. She was beautiful and I will always remember when I was a member of S.O.F. (Society of Friends) and we asked if she would entertain a group of Black Seniors living in nursing homes at the Johnson farm. She said YES and they had a great time going on a hay ride, spending the day at the farm and she served them a great lunch. WE will always remember that day with Joan on the farm. Our hearts are saddened for the loss of your dearly beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She was truly a beautiful Woman. May the Lord grant you all continuous love, peace and comfort. We know that you are so very proud of your Mother. She left a wonderful legacy, touching the lives of so many people through her great products, which we have used for many years!
