Not sure what to say?

I owe my very existence to Joe and all those of his generation. My parents were children in England during the war. If Joe and all those others hadn't given so much, the Axis would have won and I would never been born. After we emigrated to the U.S. I served in the USAF as an intelligence officer. Again I thank Joe and his generation for everything they did. Thanks Joe! And God bless.

I did not know joe, but i got to know who he was through the history channel. So grateful for what he and his brothers did, while my own dad was a baby. Wish i could tell a guy like this, that i, a member of his grandkids generation, climbed aboard a b17 for a flight, just so i could attempt to see, smell, and feel what they went through in some small way. Came away from that with even more reverence. Rest in peace joe. Thank you

What a wonderful person Joe was. I know that the Good Lord has him in his arms.

I am saddened at the lost of an American hero. I've watched 'WW2 IN HD: THE AIR WAR', and I admire Joe Armanini and all of the WW2 Veterans who fought so bravely and courageously. Armanini was part of the Greatest Generation. I admire the Greatest Generation who gave up their lives to "FREE a Suffering Humanity".

Almighty God: Our sons, pride of our Nation, this day have set upon a mighty endeavor, a struggle to preserve our Republic, our religion, and our civilization,...

What a great tribute, to a man the rest of us only knew through WWII in HD ! My impression of you is that if I passed you in the street Joe, I would not have noticed your accomplishments trailing behind you like a wake. WWII vets like you, and my father never felt the need to talk about the incredible bravery, of simply overcoming overwhelming fear, to do the things that leave the rest of us in awe, and secured our freedom ! Thanks Joe ! You lived a life brother ! 100th BG forever.

True American Hero!

There will never be another man as awesome as joe. Keep flying in heaven

I am so proud to sponsor your Father's Guest Book. He was part of the Greatest Generation I read about while growing up, folks who served our Nation in Air Combat, folks who had a large part in my becoming a U.S. Navy flyer and serving 30 years in that role. The series that Joe was interviewed for, which you mentioned, "WWII in HD--The Air War", highlighted the true nature of the dangers embraced by flyers in that conflict, dangers faced by all combat flyers, dangers that are often...

To the Armanini Family my Deepest Sympathy for your loss. I watched the History Channel program "WW II in HD". Mr. Armanini is truly special to tell his story. My Dad and Uncle were in WW 2. My Dad was in England at Bassingbourn Airfield as a radio operator. It was a B-17 base for the 8th Air Force. Many thanks for Mr. Armanini for his time and energy to tell his story for us who never had the experiences that he had.

Joe Armanini

On a beautiful, clear, warm October afternoon, unexpectedly and peacefully, with son Scott at his side, Joe Armanini soared into the Heavens at the young age of 97 after a day of laughing, joking, watching the baseball playoffs and a golf tournament on tv with family members - and...
