Joe Heller made his last undignified and largely irreverent gesture on September 8, 2019, signing off on a life, in his words, "generally well-lived and with few regrets." When the doctors confronted his daughters with the news last week that "your father is a very sick man," in unison they...

Not sure what to say?

The money on the obituary was money well spent. Thank you for the laugh, and happy trails to your dad.

Simply fabulous! What a guy, husband, father, granpa and friend!!!

This is written with such love I can only imagine the big hole his passing has left. It is a fine tribute to a fabulous man. I only wish that I had met him. I'm sure he and your Mom are delighted to be back together.

He must have been a remarkable person to warrant such a lengthy (and expensive) obit. I laughed out loud. This world needs more mischief and cussing in it and he has inspired me to do my part!

This is an awful lot to miss! My sympathies to Joe's family from another person you'll never meet. You made a stranger smile today. No better legacy than that!

I never knew Joe Heller, but damn if I don't now wish that I had. How much richer the world would be with more men like him, and how much poorer it is for his passing!

Godspeed, good sir. You are well and truly loved, and deserve to be so.

One of the most inspiring things I've read in a long time. Thank you Joe and family; I will redouble my efforts to live a life of kindness and mischief in hopes that my obit will be 1/10 as funny and heartworming. Warming. Heart warming.

I met Joe at my dad's funeral. I figured him to be quite a character My dad was in the Navy and had some of that brash attitude. My dad and Joe would have hit it off to say the least. I think they were cut from the same tree.
It's sad that all will miss his pranks here on Earth but they need pranksters in Heaven, it's too stuffy there.

Filled with much love. That's what it's about.
