Not sure what to say?

Hope you are resting in peace Joel, my friend. Your family and Pelee island friends have not forgotten you. We still quite often to a To Joel cheers, while we tell old Pelee Island stories. Sure miss the football Saturdays and the croquet Sundays and good food! Take care buddy, Im sure we will see you again someday.

Hi. I didn't know Joel, but I live a block away from the accident site. I am so sorry for his loss and hate driving past the site of the accident. I keep seeing his SUV and feel saddened every time. I thought there was hope for him at first, but he just couldn't hold on. I hope your sadness lessens each time you remember him, and know that he is with his love right now.

Joel, my friend, you were exactly that, my friend. I enjoyed the times we bounced ideas around and competed in friendly competitions at work. You will be missed, but never forgotten. Until we meet again, cheers. Ted and Judy and family take comfort in reading these messages and see the impact Joel made in people's lives. God's Peace.

Sad doesn't even begin to describe the feeling of losing such a kind hearted and genuine person such as Joel. Never at a loss for words or trying to find something to talk about, just an easiness being around him. Too young too soon and hope he's in an amazing place with his loved ones, especially Kristen. Much love to you always, my sweet cousin. Love - Kari, Russ, Cole and Emily Logan

Well it has taken me almost a week and I still cannot find the words...as an only child I have always considered my cousins like siblings, though as adults we have not remained the closest...so I have lost a little brother in Joel...may your spirit always feel my love for you!

My thoughts and prayers go out to Ted and Judy and the rest of the family. Joel was a one of a kind type of person and will be sadly missed.

Joel was a true conversationalist and had no trouble discussing any topic in any setting. Fishing, lawn mowing, the latest storm, purple martins, our kids and football were his topics of choice around us.
(of course, he could not help but to throw in from time to time, that Shawnda was his first kiss).

The North Bay of Pelee Island will miss his boat cruises, with his companion Cabrera steadfast on the bow.

And rounding Club House Point and seeing Beach's stone house will...

Condolences to the Campbell and Beach families and friends. Joel and Kristen will be missed on Pelee. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Steve, Shirley, Josh & Corey Steingart

I had the great privilege of growing up as one of Joel's younger cousins. I looked up to him as I do my brother Mike. Loose and wise. Joel, Mike and Doug were the cool kids; on the rare occasions when they let Kellee and I hang out with them it felt like we were in on a secret, we were cool for a minute. I remember the last big family get together on Pelee, playing horseshoes and crochet, drinking cold beers in the sun just like the good old days. Naturally, Joel had a pair of shorts on,...
