Joel was so much fun in college. It was always the highlight of our day to go to Joel's room before dinner and watch Gilligan's Island and Hogan's Heros. This was a ritual that went on thoughout college. We had to get in the right mood to go eat the cafeteria food. After college Joel moved in the apartment with LJ and myself. We had so much fun. Joel became one of my best friends at UNCC around 1971. We shared many road trips and events throughout the years. Through Joel's outgoing personality, I met many wonderful friends and will always value the times we all spent together. Sincere sympathy to all of his family.
