Not sure what to say?

How well I remember Joel. I went to Blessed Sacrament Church and first through eighth.
Then I went to John Carroll High and graduated
from there. I married Forrest Gravlee, the
love of my life. He passed away.
Five years later I married and old friend,
James Whaley. We live in Cullman where my
mother was born. I have lots of cousins here. Love it here.

Please accept my condolences for the death of Joel Edward. He will be miss by many family members and friends. May the God of comfort, comfort family members and friends at this most difficult hour. Matthew 5:4

Some of my fondest of Joe Ed was the many afternoons he and I spent in the back yard on 30th Street in Birmingham playing Monopoly.

Sorry to hear of his passing.

In God's hand is the life of every living thing and the spirit of every human. May the words of Job 12:10 bring comfort to the family during this sad and difficult time.

My fondest memory of Joel: Consulting with him in his office at Saint Brigid (Johns Creek, GA) and hearing him yell "Push it!" after I knocked. He became much more than a colleague, but a dear friend of both myself and husband Jim. When I knew of a missionary in need, it was always Joel who I could turn to find help. Now Our Lord has received him and his fine and generous spirit. He is well-loved and will be dearly missed.

We are so sorry for your loss. Joel wa a very unique individual always willing to help someone whether it be walking someone out to their car to make sure she got there safe or to be a reader in church. He loved his Church. He always had a smile for you. He is in a better place without the suffering. He will be missed.

A fellow parishioner!

I'm so sorry for your loss.
