Joey was my dearest friend for almost 40 years and I thank god I was blessed to have him in my life. I will love him and Jade forever and never forget him.

What a light Joey shined on this world. What a great person and friend; If you talked to him more than a minute; you would be enthralled by the stories he's lived. Just an amazing soul. My friend I will see you again.

Rest easy JCJ. You are a huge inspiration. I saw hundreds of bands play the Alrosa Villa over the last 35+ years but nobody owned that stage quite like you did! 30 or 40 seconds into Comin' On you'd bust out the dressing room door like a freight train, grab the mic and tear the place up! Thursday thru Sunday night a packed house for Shock Tu and I was always there! Very inspiring. Thank you for the memories. God speed.....

I was 15 the first time I ever laid eyes and ears on Joey. It was during his Shock Tu days. I was hooked. I´ve loved him ever since. I met him that night and after that, we were friends. That choir in the clouds will never be the same now that your voice is leading them! I will love and miss your kind heart forever.
