John L. Avros. Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Poulos); Loving brother of Zaharo (Odysseas) Villies, Tasia (George) Villis, Helen (William) Liapis, Triso Koustenis, and Pete (Debra) Avros; Adored by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Though never having children, John was the patriarch of his family and was instrumental for bringing his siblings to the United States. He loved his family, his adopted country, but never forget his heritage. John always had a smile on his face and always shared a kind word with whomever he met.

Uncle John, You were such a big part of my childhood and for that I am grateful. We loved having you over for the holidays. Uncle John we will miss you dearly. Rest in peace with your beloved Mary.

Uncle John was always upbeat and truly loved being an Uncle to all his nieces and nephews. We were able to visit with him when we were in Chicago in July. We are grateful that we got to spend time with him the past 2 summers when we came to town. He will be missed and we loved him very much.
