Not sure what to say?

One of the finest police officers I've ever known and had the pleasure of working with. We went thru the academy together in 1966. He now patrols Heavens streets.

I can't seem to get my head around the fact that you have passed on. I know you'll be watching from above and I'll cherish our time we had together. Your wisdom will come through in my thoughts and during my decision making as mommy's does so please keep guiding me through life. I love and miss you so deeply in my heart and soul. Rest peacefully dai.

Dad,
Had I only known the last conversation we had last week would be our last I probably would have said so much more. I laugh when I think about phone messages I left for you and your inability to retrieve them without having to spend hours figuring it out. Aren't you glad I showed you when we went for coffee ?? The corny jokes you would tell my kids and how they would laugh, not because the jokes were funny but because of the looks you gave them when they didn't find your joke funny....

Dear Regina and The Baird Family, I was so sorry to hear of John's passing. Joe, I, Tricia, Rachel and Johnny send our sincerest condolences. It was a pleasure to have known him.

Sgt. Baird was my first Sergeant in the West District. He led by examble and was always there to guide and teach you. He was a Stand-up Man and Police Officer. Retired Captain Anthony Plinio

I never worked for or with Lt. Baird, but I knew him from the job. He was a gentleman and a professional police officer. I went through the Newark Police Academy with his brother Joe. My sincerest sympathy to his family.

John, Richie, Diane, Denise, Debbie, Michael, and Daniel, Aunt Susie loves you! Your father was very proud of all of you, he told me so!! xoxoxo

Again, my sincere condolences to my extended family. RIP Uncle John. You now know the face of our Lord. What a glorious reunion you must have had with some very special angels... your Mom, your brother Joe and sister Rachel.

John and I worked together in the T.F. He was a great cop and a good friend. He will be remembered. Tom Cetnar Ret Capt. N.P.D
