Captain Bengtson was my first officer when I started on Engine #2. This was before we had compressed oxygen and we entered burning structures with pulled up boots and no hoods. He was a good man and a good Firefighter. My sincere sympathy to the family and friends.

Bengston family, im so sorry for the loss of a wonderful sweet loving father, grandfather, uncle. I had always a special place in my heart for him as one of his favorite caregivers. He was always good for advice, a good laugh, and he would always try to offer me chocolates too. It was a pleasure to know such a wonderful loving guy.
