Jack you were very dear and special to my heart. It's hard for me to put into words but I love you and will miss you! I do know you will watch over me and the rest of your family from heaven. I hope you are truly at rest sleep in peace my sweet angel.

When I was 20 or 21 years old, I worked for M.M.Dizney & Son, Mobil Oil Distributor. Jack had just purchased a D6 Cat and was doing custom farm work. He needed to purchase diesel, but didn't have anything to put it in. I delivered his first load of diesel in Dizney's 250 gallon skid tank. He later purchased a house and shop west of
West Side School. He called to me while I was filling a fuel tank as he walked into his shop. He came out yelling and screaming. I'll never forget...

Although I never met Mr. Borchard I was well aware of his contributions to the agricultural industry in the Imperial Valley. Unfortunately we have lost many of the agricultural pioneers in recent years but those of us that grew up in agriculture defying the odds we must honor their contributions and appreciate their dedication to help feeding the world.
