John Wayne Chan, 55, of Longview passed away April 5, 2010, at the Hospice Care Center.

He was born May 18, 1955, in China. He was preceded in death by his father, Chan Zhong Chen, and his mother, Zhao Fu Mao, both in 2005.

John moved to Longview in 1991 and successfully opened Kim Bowl Restaurant. He was a hard worker who provided for his family. He was a loving husband and a caring father of two.

John is survived by his wife, Alice; and his two children, Melissa and Matthew.

All contributions will be donated to the Hospice Care Center.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lincoln Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Portland.

My heart aches for you. I have no words to ease your pain.
I will always remember John as a kind, hard working & honorable family man. I will miss his smiling ways.
